Another old house in Safranbolu, Turkey. Old Turkish houses often have bay windows, though the geometry of this one is unusual. I think they were popular because, without TV, what else is there to watch but the street?

Nice shot! I may be wrong, but the small windows may be exposed to the south, so that more light can come in... or maybe the people from this house loved to hape a peep at their neighbours
Yes, I think they are for the view, it is just that normally they would have the bay window project more to the street. You can see the support of such a bay window at the upper right corner. Oh well, mysteries of old architecture.
